Japanese food

I tried out a new restaurant tonight.  I usually don’t go for Japanese food but this was a pleasant surprise.  It’s quite close to my house and I passed it on Sunday afternoon and there were quite a few people sitting in the cool sunshine eating lunch.  I tried the food pictured.  The Oolong noodles were fantastic.  I’m not a seafood fan.  These noodles didn’t have the typical fishy taste that other seafood dishes have.  It was loaded with different seafood bits though.  Then we had the rice triangles pictured below.  Those were excellent.  They were pan fried on the outside and very flavorful.  There was bits of salmon mixed through the rice making it super fragrant.  Yum.  Finally there was the wrap pictured on the bottom right.  This was also very well done.  You can see the strawberry included inside giving it a twist I haven’t seen before.  In all, I’d give this restaurant a high rating.  I’ll try it again soon just to make sure.  We spent NT 190 for this meal.  Reasonable.  Also on the menu was German pig knuckle and German sausage.  I don’t get it.  Maybe if someone tries it they can post in the comments.

Little Bee Hot Pot

Hot Pot

There are a million places to eat hot pot.  Or so it seems.  I really like this one.  It’s kind of off the beaten path but it serves up really good food.  They have a Thai style hot pot which I love.  The average cost is about NT 250.  I come here quite often for lunch.  The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean.  I’m including a picture of the bowl of vegetables and other goodies served with each pot.  I didn’t include a picture of the meat.  I can never finish a whole pot.  It’s just too much.  If you’re enjoying the cold weather and want somewhere to warm yourself up, try Little Bee.
